Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is a white wine produced by Steenberg Vineyards, located in the Constantia region of South Africa. The wine is crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, harvested from various vineyard blocks at different ripeness levels to achieve a complex flavor profile. The grapes undergo skin maceration for 8–24 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 11°C and 15°C. Post-fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees for 60–90 days before blending and bottling. The resulting wine is pale-straw in color with a slight green hue, offering aromas of fresh cape gooseberry, nettle, lemon zest, granny smith apple pith, and white peach. On the palate, it presents a lively acidity with flavors of citrus blossom and quince, underpinned by a distinctive mineral core. This wine is suitable for immediate enjoyment and has the potential to age well over the next 2–5 years. Steenberg Vineyards is owned by Graham Beck Wines, a leading South African wine producer headquartered in South Africa.
